Okay, guess what Joseph wanted to be for Halloween (since like May) -- an Uglydoll, of course! He wanted to be yellow Tray. He also informed me that Jakey need to be a blue Deer Ugly.
I was so scared, not having a lot of sewing experience. And how do you get a pattern for an Uglydoll costume? You can't.
I'm just relieved that I was able to do it, to make something Joseph really liked.

They looked great!
Those rock!
If I were into Uglydolls, I would buy one of those.
You are incredibly creative and talented! I am very impressed at how well you improvised those costumes. Good job, mom!! (Joseph's and Jakey's)
Yo Gabba Gabba is too creepy...
?
Hey Anonymous, what do Uglydolls have to do with Yo Gabba Gabba? Get your plush characters straight!

Did you make costumes for your child(ren?) that they asked for?
Is this Dwight Shrute??? Reveal yourself!
wow great job!!! from one seamstress to the next I am very very impressed.
OK, they're awesome costumes and would fetch a sweet price on ebay. But this brings up one of my biggest gripes about Halloween--people spend so much time, money and energy to cake/buy costumes to wear for a couple hours one night of the year. Is it really worth it? Are the memories of dressing up and begging for candy really worth all the hassle? Maybe if we really were scaring off evil spirits, I could get into Halloween. But really, can't we just spend $5 on a couple bags of candy or Hostess snacks instead of costumes?
I know, I'm the Halloween Grinch.
I mean "make" not "cake." Man I want dessert. I also just deleted a post cause I said:
"I mean "maker" not "cake." Man, when will Blogspot give us an "edit comment" function, already?
OK, Andy... want some chocolate chip cookies? We got us too many.
>Maybe if we really were scaring off evil spirits
