Since Judy Cannot Navigate Facebook Well:

Hi Mom and others,

Here are some photos. You may already have them. On Facebook, MOTHER, you could at least see all the comments. "OH WELL," as you love to say!

Sorry, I still have so many to scan that I might not have all family members here. But I love you anyway, most of the time. NOTE: I tried to find embarrassing pics.

George said, "WOW," when seeing this. Yeah, we all had our ugly phases, right? A couple of the women are not in our family anymore -- Ross's second wife, and that tall woman by Jolene. Later, George will Photoshop a paper bag onto my head.

There's Scott making a face, Reed being sweet, and I have my usual clueless look.

Judy is thinking, 'Look how cute I am! I Jazzercise!!'

LeeAnn is thinking, 'She's REALLY wearing a FANNY PACK? Just don't call it that if you go to London.'

We all agree, Nana looked a little crazed here. Also, why was Reed naked and look, I was cute once. (BTW, thanks for the M.E.H. books.)

Scott, you were so avant-garde in your fashion!
I look pissed because we were poor and I was fat. Yeah, that's my shallow side.

Phantom of the Opera? Tard music festival?? (See, Scott, I told you ya have cuter pictures than what's on your profile!)

Little girls want to grow up to be hairdressers.

Andy? or Judy?

We should never EVER sing a duet together. Let's just be friends/sisters.

Sorry, KEV!!!! You'll get yours, oh boy!

Tired of Seeing that Tom Cruise Photo!

I will now offer random comments and observations.

This is one of Joseph's photos. He gets as snappity as paparazzi in his picture madness. This one is called 'Night Night.'
Q: Does every culture have its own spicy ingredient of origin?

Mexico has habaneros and jalapenos. Asian nations have their curries. We've got our chili peppers. Also paprika, cayenne...

The hottest chili in the world might be the Naga Jolokia from Bangladesh. Are there any spicy peppers or ingredients that originated in places like Europe, Russia, or Australia?

Q: WHY is it that when you are in a line of cars at a stoplight, that each car waits for the one ahead to start driving before they even think, okay, maybe I'll move now?

Can't all the cars just start moving at once when the light turns green? I don't wait for the car in front of me to move ten feet, I go in unison with its movement. Why don't others?

I am going to stop making homemade pumpkin pie as long as Costco is around. (Tell me if you know what I'm talkin' bout!)

Jakey looks like he is an abused child. He is not. He will no longer allow himself to be held or restrained in any way. Yesterday he decided to walk down the three steps into our family room. He totally biffed it, but got up and went off to find something to explore/tear apart.

Last Friday we went to the zoo (with Jack 'n' Joyce) and Jakey tried to run around on the uneven pavement and did a face plant. The rest of the time, George was holding on to the hood of Jake's coat just to keep him safe. We need a leash.

Q: Is there any harm to eating only pumpkin pie for a couple days straight?

Q: I keep hearing about some big domestic trouble/terrorism coming soon. Anyone know about this?

Yes, Tom Cruise is Gay.

You've likely heard about the massive attacks (cool band in singular) from gays on the church (and other Christian churches) over Prop 8. They've been randomly shooting out windows of buildings in SLC, they went into a church during a service and started making out and throwing pink confetti (kinda cheesy)... and there's something big planned for tomorrow, so with G away in CA we're not going to church, just in case. They have the list of all those who donated to the cause. And heck, UT Valley is full of those evil Mormons, so something could happen (although not in Tongan or Samoan wards where they'd get pummelled).

They're going crazy and making themselves look like big babies -- resort to violence and intimidation when the vote doesn't go your way. I have a few gay friends on Facebook or Myspace, etc, and I hope they're not part of this mayhem. Some live in CA.
There are PLENTY of wealthy gays in CA and elsewhere who could have, or did, donate to their side of the cause. But the people in LIBERAL California still made their voice heard.

I wonder what cousin Jack in Vegas thinks of all this? Or "Big Red" Teddy?

Peaceful protest is one thing. But this isn't very peaceful.

Interesting, though, they won't attack blacks, who voted 75% in favor of Prop 8. Nor mosques, and we know they are very strict about this sort of thing.

Heck, I accept that Obama is our new President even if I didn't believe in him. And I still love my friends/family who voted for him!

After All that Sewing, I Gotta Show Someone!

Okay, guess what Joseph wanted to be for Halloween (since like May) -- an Uglydoll, of course! He wanted to be yellow Tray. He also informed me that Jakey need to be a blue Deer Ugly.

I was so scared, not having a lot of sewing experience. And how do you get a pattern for an Uglydoll costume? You can't.

I'm just relieved that I was able to do it, to make something Joseph really liked.

And then Jakey was being a krabby patty and we barely got the costume on for a picture, then he went night-night!

Pumpkins

I am suddenly a bit happier, more comfortable, now that it is cool outside. Maybe I hate the sun. Maybe it is because it weakens me (bad for heart failure) and burns my pasty skin. Maybe the only comfortable summer clothes are the ones that also show my chubby arms.

You might love the sun, and perhaps that makes you more celestial. (And yeah, somehow it is a bit more bearable in Tucson. HIDEOUS back east.)

Here's what's great about AUTUMN:

  • Pumpkins and pumpkin treats
  • Halloween oreos
  • Gray clouds and crisp air
  • Fresh apples
  • Purty colors on the mountains
  • Making costumes for kids, especially when you are challenged to make something for which you cannot find a pattern, like Uglydolls
  • Diet coke somehow tastes better
  • Neighbors bringing you peach pies
  • No longer suffocating in the heat
  • Most bands just sound better in cool/cold weather
  • Pushing Daisies is back!

Here are some pictures we took in the fresh autumn air. Someone carved things out of wood and trees in a field near the temple. There's also a big, sturdy flower carved from a stump.

Ain't Jakey's smile cute!

Our family, awwww.....
